Amazon has begun site work on a new 141,000-square-foot delivery station in Round Rock. Located at 2525 County Road 172, the $72.5M facility is expected to bring nearly 200 jobs—not including delivery drivers.
Construction crews are currently clearing and grading the land, with a tentative buildout timeline through September 2025. While opening and hiring plans remain in early stages, the project marks a revival after initial delays in 2022 due to Amazon's national slowdown. Read more here.

Starting June 2, Round Rock ISD will offer free breakfast and lunch to anyone 18 and under, plus students with disabilities up to age 21. No paperwork. No ID. Just show up and eat.
Meals will be served at select campuses through the federally funded Seamless Summer Option. It’s a simple, generous way to make sure no kid goes hungry while school’s out.
Call your nearest campus to check hours and locations. All children welcome. No strings, no stress. I love seeing this kind of thing in our community. 💗

Also on the horizon: a YMCA, fire station upgrades, and an airport facility. These updates reflect the city’s long-term investment in infrastructure, safety, and community spaces—helping Georgetown stay prepared for the future while staying true to its small-town charm. Read more here.
