Hey, TJ here.

We were pumped by how many of you replied about the free in-person AI training!

In case you missed it, it’s for Scoop readers who know AI matters but aren’t sure how to actually use it for their business or job.

We got so much interest, we’re locking it in. If you’re interested (even if you already emailed), hit the RSVP form here.

We’ll send out time and location details once they’re locked in. If your plans change, you’ll be able to update your response.

Spots are limited, so RSVP if you’re in. And if you can’t make it later, update your answer so someone else can take your place.

Super excited for this. It’s gonna be a good one.

The Gist: Georgetown City Council voted 6-1 to approve a redesign of the 1920s-era building at 817 S. Austin Ave., overturning a prior denial from the Historic and Architectural Review Commission. The redesign will reveal original wood trusses and a double gable roof, a move the property owner says honors the building’s history.

Why It Matters: Locals are passionate about preserving the charm of Georgetown’s historic square, and this project walks the line between honoring the past and updating for the future.

What’s Next: The building, soon to be called the Gauthier Building, can now move forward with construction and permitting.

Just Opened

1651 N Interstate Hwy 35, Round Rock

A fresh new favorite just off I-35, Dimassi’s opened earlier this month and brings big flavor to the former Outback spot. It’s all buffet-style with crowd-pleasers like kafta, lamb shank, rice dishes, and endless hummus.

Locals can’t get enough of the clean, modern space and all the options on the menu. Even picky eaters leave happy. It’s only been open a few weeks, but it's already earning a regular spot on lunch lists.

209 W 8th St, Georgetown

Opened in May, this spot is already drawing a crowd for poke tacos, beet salad, fish and chips, and cocktails like the espresso martini and Texas Colada.

The vibe is modern but laid-back, service is solid, and owner Charles Milligan is often around saying hi. Great for date night or a casual ceviche fix. Fresh catch for the square!
