💰 Round Rock Directs $672K to Community Aid

The Gist: Round Rock City Council approved a $672,184 allocation from the federal Community Development Block Grant program to fund home repairs, sidewalks, and nonprofit services. Local groups benefiting include the Round Rock Area Serving Center ($60K), CASA ($20K), and Meals on Wheels ($20.8K).
Why It Matters: These funds help vulnerable residents with housing needs, food assistance, and support for children in protective custody, strengthening the community’s safety net.

🏡 1,000+ New Homes Coming to Georgetown

The Gist: A new neighborhood called Woodside is coming to the area near Ronald Reagan Blvd and Hwy 195. It’ll have over 1,100 homes, with a mix of Del Webb Sun City and regular single-family homes, plus parks, trails, and a community center.
Why It Matters: Georgetown’s growing fast. Woodside will bring more places to live, including homes starting in the $400Ks, and some solid community perks.
