🌊 Where to cool off for free this week

Hard to believe soccer season is already winding down! Next weekend is the championship game, and both kids have had such a great season.

Watching my kids work hard at a game they love is truly one of my favorite things in life. Their grit, energy, and enthusiasm are contagious, and it’s been so fun to see them grow, cheer on their teammates, and keep showing up with heart week after week. 💗⚽

On a separate note, TJ and I want to put more focus on connecting local businesses with local customers, and helping y’all find the best deals around town.

Splash pad season is starting to pick up around the area, giving us all a free or low-cost way to cool off as the Texas heat rolls in. A few local favorites are already open, with more on the way.

📍 Fritz Park Splash Pad (Hutto) closed during year-long renovation; future park will include a new splash pad, playground, walking trails, and bike pump track.

The Gist: Casa do Brasil is opening a new Brazilian steakhouse in Round Rock this summer, taking over the former Cork & Barrel space on East Palm Valley Boulevard.
The restaurant will feature churrasco-style dining with slow-roasted meats carved tableside.

Why It Matters: Round Rock’s food scene keeps getting bigger and more varied. For locals, this means another special occasion spot close to home, especially for big family dinners, celebrations, or anyone who loves that classic Brazilian steakhouse experience.
