Italian Eatery Establishes Georgetown Presence

Tony & Luigi's has opened its doors at 112 West 8th Street in Georgetown's historic downtown district. The restaurant occupies a carefully restored 1920s building, maintaining original brick walls and hardwood floors while creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for diners.

Owners Antonio Ricci and Luigi Martelli, longtime friends who previously operated restaurants in Chicago, chose Georgetown for its growing culinary scene and community-oriented atmosphere. The restaurant seats approximately 85 guests indoors with an additional 24 seats available on the seasonal patio facing the courthouse square.

Tony & Luigi's offers a diverse menu that extends beyond standard Italian fare to include dishes from across the Mediterranean region. House specialties include hand-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and slow-simmered sauces prepared daily.

Signature dishes feature the Osso Buco served with saffron risotto ($28), house-made gnocchi with brown butter and sage ($19), and a traditional Sicilian Caponata ($12) that showcases the restaurant's Mediterranean influences. The menu also includes several vegetarian and gluten-free options to accommodate dietary preferences.

Family-Friendly Dining Experience

The restaurant has quickly become a popular destination for family gatherings and casual dining. Children's menu options include smaller portions of pasta classics at reduced prices, while the relaxed atmosphere welcomes diners of all ages.

Happy hour specials run Tuesday through Thursday from 4-6 PM, featuring discounted appetizers and select wines by the glass. The restaurant also offers a Sunday family-style dinner service with shareable platters designed for groups of four or more.
