There are tons of great local events to round out January if you’re on the hunt for something to do. From daddy daughter dances (the Kalahari one is sold out, so good on you if you snagged tickets early!) to races, bingo, live music, and plenty more, there’s no shortage of ways to stay busy.
After our own community’s winter event last weekend, I left feeling genuinely grateful to live somewhere that keeps things fun and connected year-round. Even in the middle of winter, we’re still finding ways to gather, get outside, and enjoy what’s right in our own backyard.

Animal Hospital of Hutto is now open and welcoming new patients. The clinic offers everyday care like wellness exams, vaccines, dental services, and surgery for both dogs and cats. Early visitors mention the kind staff and calm, caring approach.

Claw Galaxy just opened, and it already getting rave reviews. It’s packed with claw machines, gachapon, and arcade games that keep everyone hooked, and the space is bright, upbeat, and feels like an easy win for a family outing. My kids are going to lose their minds over this place, and I can’t wait to take them.
The staff is welcoming and happy to help, especially if it’s your first time trying your luck. Based on what people are sharing, lots of visitors leave with bags of plushies and prizes, making it totally worth the stop!
