Our little getaway to Waco last week was such a blast. The Baylor game had incredible energy, and we were stoked that ASU pulled off the win with a literal last second field goal. It definitely made for one of those unforgettable game day memories!

We didn’t realize Magnolia Market is closed on Sundays, so we’ll have to save that for next time. The Waco Zoo more than made up for it, especially with the kids getting to feed the giraffes! And of course, no road trip is complete without a stop at Buc-ee’s on the way home for snacks and souvenirs.
It’s such a treat living close to fun little day trip spots like Waco. We’ll definitely be back, with Magnolia and more adventures on our list!

🚔 Round Rock eyes drones and training upgrades

The Gist: On Sept. 25, Round Rock City Council will talk about spending about $693K on new police drone technology, with part of the cost covered by state grants. The idea is to place launch spots around town so drones can send live video right to officers. The council will also look at a $19 million upgrade to the Public Safety Training Center, which would add classrooms, vehicle sheds, and a new practice pad.
Why It Matters: Both projects are about giving local first responders better tools and more space to train. The goal is to keep Round Rock safe and ready, no matter what comes our way.
