The Round Rock City Council has approved a $2.9 million agreement with Texas Materials to handle the city’s next round of street repairs and resurfacing. The decision, finalized on Oct. 9, funds the 2025 Arterial Street Maintenance Program, which targets some of the city’s busiest and most deteriorated roads.

Priority routes and planned work

According to Assistant Director of Transportation and City Planning Brian Kuhn, the city selects road segments based on pavement condition and traffic levels. This year’s focus will be on areas showing the greatest wear. Work will include milling and replacing the top layer of asphalt, along with improvements to pavement, curbs, sidewalks, and driveway entrances.

Roads included in the 2025 program

Crews will focus on several corridors across Round Rock, including:

  • North Mays Street, from downtown to East Old Settlers Boulevard

  • Hoppe Trail

  • Mays Crossing

  • University Boulevard

  • County Road 122

  • Chisholm Trail Road and Chisholm Parkway

  • Wolle Lane and Hope Trail

  • Jarrett Way, Michael Angelo, and Wadley Place
