🏙️ High-Rise Living Coming to Round Rock
The first phase of The District will feature a seven-story residential building with 316 units, set to open by early 2027. This $525 million project will bring high-rises and urban density to an area once known for open fields, marking a major shift for Round Rock’s growth. More details here.
🚧 I-35 Expansion: Georgetown to Round Rock
TxDOT plans to enhance I-35 between Georgetown and Round Rock by adding two non-tolled high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes in each direction from SH 29/University Avenue to SH 45 North. The project also includes new flyovers at the I-35 and SH 45 North interchange, ramp modifications, bridge reconstructions, and shared-use paths throughout the corridor. More info here.
🎢 COTALand Amusement Park Coming
Circuit of the Americas is dropping $105M on COTALand, a 20-acre amusement park with 30+ rides. Headliners include Palindrome, a 95-foot coaster, and Circuit Breaker, the first tilt coaster in the U.S. It’s set to open just in time for the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix on Oct. 19. |

One of the last restaurants to open in the Bar W Marketplace at the Georgetown / Leander border. We’ve heard great things about the one in Round Rock, so we’re excited to check this one out!
