šļø Georgetown Considers San Gabriel Park Revamp

Georgetownās City Council is gearing up for the last big chapter of the San Gabriel Park makeover. This fourth phase could run anywhere from $45 to $79 million and will focus on revamping the athletic fields up in the northeast corner of the park.
Theyāre pulling in ideas from neighbors who showed up to the open house back in Decemberāso if you shared your thoughts, theyāre being heard.

š Georgetown Completes Downtown Garage Top Floor
Big news for downtown Georgetown: the top floor of the new parking garage at 502 S. Main is done! This four-story structure is bringing 315 much-needed parking spots to help take the pressure off downtown traffic.
Constructionās rolling along and should be all wrapped up by September 2025. Once itās finished, itāll be a whole lot easier for folks to visit shops, grab lunch, or swing by local businesses without circling the block five times. Read more here.
š Taste of Round Rock is Back Next Week!
Itās happening Tuesday, 4/22, at the Round Rock Sports Center ā and if you like eating your way through town without driving all over, this is your night.
Over 40 local spots will be there, all serving up samples. Itās super laid-back, easy to wander, and a fun one to hit up with friends or family.
General admission is 6ā8 p.m.

Freddyās is expected to open in Georgetown this fall, bringing its classic steakburgers, crispy fries, and frozen custard to the Cedar Breaks West Development.

Fairy Freeze had its soft opening in Hutto this month, serving up light, fluffy shaved ice with all the classic syrupy toppings. They make their own block ice on-site, which gives everything a fresher, smoother texture.
The stand is set up right outside their production facility, but the vibe feels more like a neighborhood hangout. Kids are all about it, and letās be honestāplenty of adults are, too. Read more here.
The fast-casual chicken salad chain has landed in Pflugerville, bringing its dozen-plus scratch-made flavors, gourmet soups, and signature sandwiches.
The new spot offers dine-in, patio seating, curbside, and catering. They even kicked things off with a chicken salad-for-a-year giveaway for the first 100 guestsānow thatās a Southern welcome! Sabinoās Pizza quietly closed its Georgetown location in March, saying goodbye to a low-key neighborhood favorite.
It was the kind of place youād swing by after a game or on a weeknight when cooking just wasnāt in the cardsāreliable pizzas, wings, and all the comforting Italian classics. Itās always a bummer to see a spot like that go, but good news: their Leander location is still open and cranking out all the same favorites. Read more here.
