Dave's Hot Chicken is set to open its first Georgetown location in the former Carl's Jr. building at 1091 University Avenue. The restaurant, known for its Nashville-style hot chicken tenders and sliders, will occupy the recently vacated fast-food space near the Wolf Ranch shopping center.

Construction crews have already begun renovating the 2,400-square-foot building, with exterior signage expected to appear by mid-June. Company representatives confirm the location will feature the brand's signature urban-inspired interior design, including custom murals and an open kitchen layout.

Nashville-Style Hot Chicken Menu

Dave's Hot Chicken specializes in a focused menu centered around chicken tenders and sliders available in seven spice levels ranging from "No Spice" to the intensely hot "Reaper" option, which requires a signed waiver. Each order comes with house-made kale slaw, french fries, and slice of white bread—traditional accompaniments to Nashville hot chicken.

The restaurant's simple menu also includes cheese fries, mac and cheese, and milkshakes designed to cool the heat. Unlike some competitors in the hot chicken category, Dave's doesn't offer bone-in chicken options, focusing exclusively on tenders and sliders.

Rapid Growth Brings Brand to Williamson County

The Georgetown location marks the chain's continued expansion throughout Central Texas, joining existing Austin-area restaurants in Cedar Park, Round Rock, and South Congress. The California-based company has experienced explosive growth since its 2017 founding as a parking lot pop-up in Los Angeles.

"Georgetown's growing population and strong retail corridor along University Avenue made this an ideal location for our next restaurant," said Regional Manager Tomas Ruiz. "We're excited to introduce our Nashville-style hot chicken to the community."

Opening Details and Employment Opportunities

Dave's Hot Chicken expects to open by late August, with a specific date to be announced closer to completion. The restaurant will operate seven days a week from 11 AM to 11 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 AM to midnight Friday and Saturday.

The location will create approximately 45 jobs, with hiring set to begin in July. Interested applicants can apply through the company's website. The restaurant will offer both dine-in and drive-thru service, with mobile ordering available through the Dave's Hot Chicken app.
