A long-awaited arrival

At 820 S. Austin Ave., Georgetown, Schoepf’s BBQ is putting the final touches on its new location and now plans to open in January. Construction delays pushed the fall launch back, but fans of the Belton original know the wait will be worth it. The menu will bring the same slow-smoked brisket, ribs, chicken, and sausage that put Schoepf’s on the map, along with hearty sandwiches, baked potatoes, and classic sides that fit right into Georgetown’s growing dining scene.

A beloved name with deep roots

Schoepf’s BBQ began in Belton in 1993, and since Ronnie and Staci Schoepf took over in 2007, the restaurant has grown into a Central Texas barbecue destination. Their post oak–smoked meats, Tex-Mex–inspired dishes, and friendly, down-to-earth service have earned national attention and spots on lists like Texas Monthly’s Top 50. The brand also expanded into live music with Schoepf’s Backyard, a venue that won Texas Country Music’s Live Music Venue of the Year.

What Georgetown can look forward to

The new location will bring the same welcoming atmosphere, tender post oak–smoked meats, and Tex-Mex BBQ combinations that regulars love. With comfort food, cold drinks, and a reputation built on quality, Schoepf’s is set to become an easy favorite for locals as soon as the doors open. January cannot come soon enough.
