It turned out to be a perfect Halloween for our crew. The kids did their own costumes for the pre-Halloween fun like trunk-or-treats and community events, but they still wanted to keep our family costume tradition alive for the big night. We went with a 1950s theme and had an absolute blast.

We were among the first ones out and the last to finish, with the kids on a mission to collect as much candy as humanly possible! What stood out most, though, was the energy of the night, with generous neighbors, friendly faces, and such a strong sense of community. I loved seeing everyone out enjoying it together, from little ones in wagons to big kids being kind and respectful. It’s one of those nights that reminds me just how special this place is. Hope y’all had a great Halloween too!

Meet Susanna, a one-year-old German Shepherd mix who’s as bright as she is beautiful. This medium-sized sweetheart weighs about 35–40 pounds and is currently training at Starmark Academy, mastering her manners and showing off her smarts.

Susanna is house and crate trained, affectionate, playful, and great with other dogs. She’ll soon be fostered in Round Rock if not adopted first. Her adoption fee is $300 and she’s located in Hutto.
