New Addition to Downtown Georgetown
A new cocktail and tapas bar is set to open in downtown Georgetown next summer. Juniper Cocktails & Kitchen, founded by local entrepreneur Andrew Newport, aims to create an intimate and stylish space for locals and visitors alike. The bar will be located on Sixth Street, one of the town’s most walkable and vibrant areas.
Juniper will add a new option for those looking to enjoy an upscale yet laid-back atmosphere for date nights, group outings, or solo wind-downs.
Though the full menu has yet to be released, Juniper is expected to focus on small plates paired with a curated cocktail list. Early previews suggest a rotating mix of seasonal ingredients and inventive flavor pairings, highlighting both local and global influences.
Drinks will be crafted with the same level of care, featuring classic cocktails with modern twists, house infusions, and potentially a few off-menu surprises for regulars.
Timing the Launch for Summer Vibes
Juniper is scheduled to open in summer 2025, with the aim of becoming a go-to evening destination during Georgetown’s warm months. With extended daylight hours and patio-friendly weather, the timing is ideal for a place focused on slow sips and shared plates.
The location on Sixth Street places it within walking distance of other local favorites, making it a natural stop during a night out downtown.
